Dr. (Mrs.) T.E. Nirmalan graduated in Siddha Medicine (BSMS) from the Trincomalee campus of Eastern University in 2014. Since 2016, she has been serving as a probationary lecturer in the Department of Cosmetology at the University College of Jaffna. Prior to that, she held the position of Temporary Lecturer at the University of Jaffna from 2015 to 2016.
